UPDATE: September 13, 2019
Bookkeeper Business Launch has changed names and is now Bookkeeper Launch.
As of today, the price for Bookkeeper Launch has increased from $1,999 to $2,999. I know it seems like a big increase, and the price can be a little scary. But if you’re serious about starting a bookkeeping business, it’s well worth the cost!
Bookkeeper Launch has always been, hands-down, the best bookkeeper training you’ll find. Now Ben has made a ton of updates and upgrades to the program, making it just that much better!
Bookkeepers workplace
Working other peoples’ financials can make you big money!

I almost didn’t include a review for Bookkeeper Launch, because it is not a passive income opportunity.

But after looking closer at the training offered through this course, I felt that I had to.

It is an honest training program, and provides exactly what it claims, a blueprint to launching a bookkeeping business.

Although bookkeeping is not a passive income opportunity, it is still an opportunity that allows you to take control of your time, your financial success, and your life.

Really, that is my primary goal here. Finding and reviewing ways for people just like you and me to take control of their lives.

No one should have to be a slave to a time clock!

Whether it is a passive income opportunity or not, as long as it provides the means to be in control of our own lives and income, I will do my best to include it here.

Read on to get a thorough look at what Bookkeepers Business Launch Bookkeeper Launch has to offer.

Bookkeepers Business Launch Bookkeeper Launch – The Broad Overview

Price – $2999 one-time payment

Creators – Ben Robinson

Rating – 9.5/10

If you have any interest in starting your own bookkeeping business from home, this is the training for you!

It is a very in-depth look at bookkeeping as a sustainable business.

And it isn’t just a course on business theory. It is actual, “hands-on”, learn-and-do training.

By the time you finish the training, you will be in the right place to sit for the ICB (International Certified Bookkeepers) exams. This certification will position you as a trusted member of the industry, and speak for you when you search for new clients.

What exactly does Bookeeper Launch offer that makes them so great?

Let’s Look At Bookkeeper Launch Training

Do you need this?

College is definitely the way to go if you want to get into a field like bookkeeping, right?

Just because you heard “College is the ticket out” for your entire high-school career does not mean that it’s the only way!

Yes, you can go to college, get yourself a degree in finance, and then become a bookkeeper.

But that’s a lot of money to pay for an education.

It’s a lot of time to invest in an education.

Especially when you can get the same, if not better, education for a mere fraction of the cost.

“A cheap education can’t be any good!”

I taught myself architectural drafting in high school by sitting in the library and reading books. It didn’t cost me a dime, and when I took a CAD drafting course my senior year the teacher told me he couldn’t really teach me anything new!

The price associated with the education has absolutely no bearing on the quality of the education.

In order to determine the merits of an education, or training system, you need to look beyond the price and evaluate what is actually included.

With Bookkeeper Launch, you will not only learn the process of bookkeeping and the basics of finance as you would with a college degree. You will also learn how to take your new-found knowledge and leverage it into a real-life business with real-life, paying clients.

College will help you find a job.

Bookkeeper Launch will help you build a business!

There is even a 3-video overview explaining some of the basics.

In the first video, Ben will tell you what running a bookkeeping business entails, help you decide if a bookkeeping business is right for you, and how much money you could expect to earn.

The second video gives you a walk-through of the tools and technology you will need and use in your business, and discusses the start-up costs (don’t worry, they aren’t high).

Video three offers an overview of the process for reaching out to, and getting, clients.

And the best part, you get these videos for free!

With Bookkeeper Launch, you will find training separated in two courses.

The first is a 5-module training focusing on what bookkeeping is.

The second is a 10-module training focusing on the actual build-up of your new business.

Let’s take a closer look.

What Is Bookkeeping?

In the first course of training with Bookkeeper Launch you will learn exactly what bookkeeping is, and what it takes to become a bookkeeper.

Separated into 5 modules, this course will provide you with the knowledge base necessary to perform the functions of a successful bookkeeper.

It’s all laid out in a manner so that those with absolutely ZERO experience or bookkeeping knowledge can learn what it takes to make it in this field.

Bookkeeping is just tracking the numbers!

The first module offers a high-level overview of what bookkeeping is.

You’ll get a general overview of what you do in the business. A “day-in-the-life-of” style walk-through.

You’ll learn about all of the different services you can provide to your clients as a bookkeeper, and listen to an interview with a practicing bookkeeper.

In the second module the basics of what you need to know as a bookkeeper will be laid out.

You’ll learn about assets, liabilities and equity.

Accounting principles will be laid out.

You’ll gain an understanding of balance sheets, journals, and ledgers.

The ethics and laws that govern your conduct as a bookkeeper will be presented clearly, leaving no doubt as to what is expected of you, and what you can expect.

Module three builds on the basics learned in module two, and starts giving you some hands-on training.

You will actually start working with the software that you will use as a bookkeeper.

You will take the knowledge gained in the second module, and put it into practice.

You’ll be able to understand not only what everything is, but how it works, and what it means to your clients and their bottom line.

In module four you actually work.

Real-life-style work!

You are provided with a monthly financial statement preparation and closing checklist. This details the process you will go through every month to prepare and present your clients’ financial statements.

Module five brings you to more advanced trainings, and add-on services that you can provide to your customers. These are opportunities to scale your business by diversifying your offerings.

How Do I Start A Bookkeeping Business?

This is a question you would have to answer for yourself if you went the college route. College simply isn’t designed to teach you to begin a business of your own.

The college model is the same now as it was 200 years ago. You are educated in a field with the intention of working for someone else in an established business.

But what if you don’t want to do that?

Then you look for the training somewhere else.

And the second course of Bookkeeper Launch can give you that training.

I am not going to go over each module individually. I simply couldn’t do each of 10 modules justice in the confines of a single review.

Instead, we will take a more high-level look at the second course, and what you will learn to set out on your own business path.

Bookkeeper Launch will walk you through defining what your business is, how to set up the initial business structure and your goals, and how to market yourself to potential clients.

There is a lot involved in beginning a business.

You will need to determine your niche market.

Learning how to present yourself to clients is very important.

You have to understand how to consult with clients through the internet, specifically through your website.

Learning how to build leads and price your services is covered.

You will even get ideas on not just building your online presence, but setting up the physical work space you will need to keep track of your clients financials.

Ben even provides feedback on your websites and marketing materials.

So if you aren’t sure whether you are on the right track to attract the kinds of clients you are looking for, ask Ben to take a look. He’ll offer constructive feedback to help you get your business where you want it, and he won’t pull any punches either!

Do I Need Any Experience?

Bookkeeper Launch is designed so that those with absolutely no experience in bookkeeping or finance can create a successful bookkeeping business.

That being said, there are certain qualities and skills that are going to prove indispensable.

Because you are building a real business in which you will be interacting with real people.

So what qualities and skills do you need?

  • Be personable – People like working with friendly people
  • Be a good communicator – You need to sell yourself and your business
  • Be detail oriented – You need to keep track of your own progress and your clients’ details
  • Be flexible – If you have more than one client, you’ll be working on multiple sets of financials

What else do you need?

  • Computer
  • High speed internet connection
  • Email – Domain specific is best
  • Printer/scanner

Who Is Bookkeeper Launch for?

Bookkeeper Launch really is for anyone who wants to start their own bookkeeping business.

From those with absolutely no experience in bookkeeping to those with a degree in finance, anyone interested in starting a business in this field can benefit from the training provided.

Remember, the course covers everything from the basics of bookkeeping and the laws and ethics governing the industry, to how to start your business and scale it to any level you want.

Wherever you are in your life, and no matter what your experience level, you can learn what you need to know to start a bookkeeping business with Bookkeeper Launch.

You can take what you learn and apply it in several ways.

First, you can run your business completely online.

For those that want to make money online, this is great!

You will still be doing the physical work offline, but all of your business communications and presentations can be online. This allows you to do business with clients literally anywhere!

Second, you can put the training to use in building a physical bookkeeping office.

You can meet with local clients at their place of business or yours. Rather than getting their information electronically, you can get paper copies handed to you to work from.

Lastly, you can do a combination of both!

Want a physical office to work with a couple local businesses, but also want to reach clients nationwide?

Go for it!

You can structure your business however you want.

What Does Bookkeeper Launch Cost?

The price of the full course is $2,999.

Don’t run away yet!

I know $2,999 sounds like a lot of money to invest in a training course, but think about that a little differently for a minute.

Don’t think about it as $2,999 for a business program. Think about it as $2,999 TO START A BUSINESS!

That’s right. You will have all the training and experience you need to start a business for $2,999.

If you went to college for your associate’s degree in finance, you’d pay almost 7 TIMES that price!

And even at 7 times what Bookkeeper Launch is charging, you wouldn’t know how to start a business. You’d just know how to work with the numbers.

Depending on the college curriculum, you may not even be prepared to sit for the ICB (International Certified Bookkeepers) exam.

But with Bookkeeper Launch, you will be fully prepared to ace that test!

What’s Included For $2,999?

I’m glad you asked.

I already covered the topics of the training earlier in this review.

Remember “What Is Bookkeeping?” and “How Do I Start A Bookkeeping Business?” Those sections laid out what you will learn.

But with a price tag of $2,999 it doesn’t sound like much, does it?

What if I told you that training is probably going to take you 2-3 months to complete?

What if I told you that it encompasses 241 lessons?

What if I told you that it is a total of over 58 hours of instructional video?

That sounds almost like a college course, doesn’t it?

Why don’t you go see if you can find a college course that will teach you all of this for only $2,999.

I’m willing to bet you won’t be able to!

Ben Robinson has created a very comprehensive training package.

You aren’t just going to learn to be a bookkeeper with Bookkeeper Launch.

You are going to be prepared to sit for the ICB exam.

You are going to know how to start a business.

You are even going to be walked through how to find, approach, and secure clients.

I’m sorry to say it, but college just isn’t going to do what Bookkeeper Launch can do for you.

Bookkeeper Launch – Is It Worth It?

If I haven’t already made it clear, for anyone interested in building their own bookkeeping business, Bookkeeper Launch is definitely worth it!

For a mere fraction of the price of a college degree in finance, you will learn what you need to know to not only excel as a bookkeeper, but also how to build your business.

You won’t get both from the far more pricey college education.

A bookkeeping business can produce a very lucrative income, or just a part-time income if that is all you are interested in.

It is a very flexible business, and very scalable.

One client, or ten, it is completely up to you and how much time you want to invest in your business.

The nice thing is that IT IS ALL UP TO YOU!

With this business, you really do get to take charge of your life and your earning potential.

You are no longer limited by the confines of a 9-to-5 job and a set wage.

The only limit on your time and earnings is you.

So take a look at Bookkeeper Launch, and start learning how to start your own business today!

  1. Another well written review Nathan, always on target and relevant. If I were interested in bookkeeping – this would be the way I would go. I never realized anything like this was available. Thanks for this well documented review. I’m looking forward to more great ideas and income opportunities you recommend.

    1. Glad you found the information useful. I just happened to stumble across them one day, and it sounded like a good opportunity. I did some research, and realized just HOW good the opportunity is. Hopefully it helps someone in their search for a way to make money online.

  2. Does this course offer any certifications as a way to make clients confident in your knowledge and abilities as a bookkeeper? Also, does Ben mention if this is easier to pick up if you already have a credential as a CPA? I have heard that it is not necessarily a requirement but I am just wondering.

    1. They do not offer any credentials directly, but do train with the intention of preparing for the ICB exams. Ben does not mention whether it is easier to pickup for someone already certified as a CPA, though I imagine it couldn’t hurt. In reference to people with past experience, he does say that the training is developed for everyone, from the beginner to those with experience. He also jokingly notes that the training will help those with experience break any bad habits!

  3. $2000 really isn’t bad considering everything you get, but you’d better be real dedicated to starting a bookkeeping business if you’re going to shell out that kind of cash to learn how to do it! But I suppose that goes without saying. And I also suppose if you’re looking at buying a $2k course to learn how to do something, you’re more than likely going to follow through, or going to try at least.

    1. You’re absolutely correct that $2000 can seem like a lot, but if you’re interested in working in the field it’s a steal. Not only does this program teach you the ins and outs of bookkeeping the same as a mire expensive college course, it also teaches you how to start your own business with that knowledge. And that’s simply something that college courses aren’t designed to provide.
